28 Feb- 3 March 2013 Dayang Open Season

just got back from Tioman last weekend, and here we go again... Dayang Open Season~ yeah~

Dayang, still as pretty for the passed year as I known of.

Great diver buddies.....

Its Anwar's 100th dives celebration, we have written on the slate, and have some photo shooting ceremony.

Our favourite batwings nudi is sighted too~ 2mm-3mm small.... very very pretty...

We have 2 advance diver certified.. Congratualation to Luqman & Laila.

 

 

When return journey back to Mersing, our boat propellar being stuck by some sort of rubbish, and lucky we have hero Nizam & Perry, help us entangle the rubbish and work on it for 1 hour underwater.. brovo guys~

See how big is the rubbish... pls do not litter, anywhere, on land or underwater... we can see toothbrush in there too....

1-4 Nov 2012 Closing Season Dayang Dive Trip

What a great closing season dive trip to Dayang.

Calm sea before the storm begin, group of rainbow runner, but whaleshark not arrive yet.. sob sob....... cuttlefish, scorpion fish, decorator crab, some tiny shrimps, etc.

This trip, we have new baby, Congratualation to Julia certified as Junior Advance Diver, and Faiz Rescue Diver.

We have 2 new fren joining us too, Zhen Yu & Shawn who did a discovery dive... hope to see you guys too next year for OWD ya~

We have once again, doing some clean up underwater, thanks to all divers on the trip. great work everyone. Dive Site: Pinacle, we have succesfully save a huge table coral, which already turn white. So happy to see some fishes back to the coral right after we took out the net. Awesome!!

A very nice and relaxing closing dive for 2012, nice to meet all new and old fren, and see you soon next year 2013....

Next destination: 29th Mabul/Kapalai.. really looking forward to my dive holiday.. yeah hoo~

14-17 Sept 2012 Malaysia Day @ Dayang Island

What a meaningful dive trip we have this Malaysia Day. Besides the normal dive we do, we did a fishing net cleaning up from one of the dive site.

Very good visibility, altho not many fishes, but we still able to see big school of Juvenile Barracude, bumphead, cuttlefish, nudis, octopus, flounder, scorpion fish, lionfish, etc.

When we did a check out dive in Teluk Teluran, we saw a gigantic fishing net covering the coral reef. After the dive, we have talk to our diver, and all of them give us their full support, so we plan our coral rescue plan. Nizam & Danish responsible to cut the rope that tie between the metal chain and net, and others help to slowly remove the net stangling around the corals.

The whole process took us nearly 1 hours, and finally we got most of the net up freely and pull it back to the boat. The net is estimated 50kg in weight, is a huge one.

30 Aug - 2 Sept 2012 Merdeka @ Dayang Island

Yes, another dive trip for 2012, to my favourite Dayang Island. we have 2 newly certified Open Water Diver - Hong Hong & Steven, and Rescue Diver Anwar. Congratualation.

Nice trip overall, see many nudis, we had school of baby barracuda, we had turtle, lionfish, school of yellow fusilier below the jetty... etc.

13-16 July 2012 Dive Dayang

 

 

對啦.. 我又潛水去了... 因為沒有拍照的關係, 就隨便紀錄一下啦.

這次, 我帶了4位新朋友, Sha, Balgis, Dev & Zaid來到我最喜歡的Pulau Dayang.

很晚? 很早? 上船, 半夜3點鐘... 因為水位不足, 差不多4點才開船, 浪大, 搖搖晃晃的到達....一樣的美麗的Dayang島到了....

聽說天氣不大好.... 風大.... 好... 不管了, 開始潛水了.....見到很多東西也... cuttlefish, turtle, 充滿一個牆的Juruana Fenebris, Nudis, lionfish, etc etc etc....

還真不錯... 雖然, 人真的有點太多...200多位divers呢.... 但是Dayang operation還是一樣照走. 棒!!!

下一次, 幾時呢? 快吧~

23-26 Feb 2012 Dayang Open Season

~I come back lo~

Wonderful weather with clear blue sky, super calm sea, superb visibility more than 25m, alot of marine life, such as bumphead, tuna, shark, cuttlefish with egg, giant travally, turtle, and many many different type of nudibranch, especially chromodoris, which u can see 10 of them at one pcs of rock.... awesome open season to dive to~

Beside the sunny day, we have wonderful night too, with many stars on the sky, and also in the water... many many blue sand wash up shore... really pretty~

This trip, me and Jac is taking the rescue course... I have been burn while acting a victim.. alot of practice need to do to perfect the skill.. hard work....
Besides us, 4 more Open Water Diver has been certified, congratualation to Cjian, Kak Lynn, Atiyyah and Cedric

Great start for 2012 diving, wish we have a wonderful year to dive in. less polution pls... Cheers~

3-7 Nov 2011 End Season Dayang Dive Trip

Wao~ what a end season dive.... although not very good visibility, n no whaleshark or manta....... but we get to see quite some stuff too. Turtle, barracuda, travelly, cuttlefish, alot of nudi, baramudi, baby nemo, juvenile batfish...... n special guest - Demon Walker...

Not forgot to mention, funny to see Teak Chee & Yumin dragon dance show underwater... n weird to see a sucker fish attached to Nizam's body for the whole dive.....

Some of the photo of shooting of tiny fishes and prawn is using a new Inon micro lens... dont know how yet... practicing more~ gosh~ its hard....

Great closing for east coast... n looking forward to next week dive in Roach Reef & Sipadan...... Keep Diving~ oh yeah~

9-11 Sept 2011 Dive Dayang

wao wao~ last minute trip.. super pack with 250 divers in Dayang this week. a lot of waiting, but still worth it...

This trip, I have used additional strobe INTOVA ISS4000, simple one, yet getting use to the bulky, heavy, and the inconveniece of too big.. still practicing.. hope to get nicer picture soon... before my sipadan trip.. oh yeah~ Nov... cant wait.

This trip, we saw Napoleon Wrasse, Bumphead Parrotfish, Squids, group of Baraccuda, and many kinds of Nudi, I love them all.... Chromodoris Coi / Nembratta Lineolata, Jorunna Funebis (this is the white body with black dots.. super pretty)/ Chomodoris Willani, etc.

Besides the beautufulness.. ha ha.. I lost my mask.. somemore, on the boat, between dive.. what happen? it remain mystery..... and my camera landyart also broken.. arms+strobe too heavy? ha ha.... anyway, new toy need to be buy before my next time.... phewws.. my mask is new... and its only last for 2 dive trip... is a present leh... so sad.... wish u in peace now.. ha ha...

Wao~~~~~ what a wonderful dive we have for open season 2011.... Our special guest - WHALE SHARK, estimated about 4 meter big.. Its a baby.. but it big and happy enough for Us......My first encounter with Whale Shark after 8 years of diving.....

Date & Time: 05/03/2011 (5.33pm)

I have to log this special dive here......the happiness we go thru, are just amazing.. we have dive for 50 minutes, then wanna ascent, then suddenly, we saw 2 huge bumphead, then we took some photo... and when I release my sausage getting ready for safety stop, suddenly, a strong current push us.... when we realise it stop, head up.. the whale shark is up there.... I have a diver Why K. first one reach the surface, and got himself all shocked, when he are right in front of the mouth of this giant...... wao~ what a experience.. we are super duper lucky~ after this encounter, we are dancing, screaming underwater and same go to surface... wao~ wao~ wao~ after this, the smile on my face just couldnt went off, follow me to shower, makan, and dream~~~

Besides the special guest.... we have group of barracuda, bumphead parratfish, cuttlefish, a lot of nudibranch, stone fish, scorpion fish, turtle... and a lot a lot more.... wao~ definately a great start of diving 2011....

Ohh~ never forgot to mention, this trip, we have 1 more certified Open Water Diver - Janet Tsang... congratualation, welcome to the underwater world... and a upgrade Advance Open Water Diver - Jacqueline Chong.... newbies, but saw whale shark on her 3rd dive trip~~~~~ CONGRATUALATION to both divers~~~~~

Our next trip will be Perhentian.. hope we have a great one too~

12-14 Nov 2010 Dive Dayang

This is a searching for whale shark trip... ha ha~ but didnt get lo.. keep looking :-p

Nice to meet you Michie & Tomo san, good trip...

First, thanks for the "Onigidi" Japanese Rice Ball prepared by Michie san... very nice... more more plzz~~ when we reach the island, wao~ heavy rain, we all get wet before got into the room, rest....

Second day, we start our dive around 9+am, first dive, I feel so weird of myself, keep going above everyone, I was wonder? why? my bouyancy so poor? then.... only I realise is the BCD problem, it auto-inflated... phewww~ very difficult to dive.. after I know about this problem, then I have to keep released air from it...

Then... in my third dive of the trip.. shame on me.. I lost my mask... sigh~~ I attached it using my camera landyart, then, when we decide to take photo on the surface, I totally forgot about it, and after all the photo taken, It already gone... haiz... its time to get a new one lol...

This trip, no whale shark, no manta.... but we did see some special thing. Bumphead, Baby Batfish, Lionfish, Scorpion Fish, alot of Nudibranch, etc..
quite alright......

season closed...... have to wait til next year lo..... will definately miss it... whale shark & Manta, please be there for us, next opening trip.... see U~~

Dive Dayang - Season End

Saw this cute little and scary one in Dayang when Im doing my safety stop. have to say, they are pretty, elegant creature.. but the stink is scary! hmmm!

This is just a fingertips small, but do not underestimate it power oh! stay away! ;-p

24-27 June 2010 Dive Dayang

Deu to the special tie condition, we have to reach jetty by 7pm (if normal time, is around 12midnight....), so we departed KL around 12pm, then follow by Curry Laksa Lunch in Senawang. The gravy is special and thinker... quite nice...

3 hours driving, then reach jetty d. waited for others, and aboard, and here we go - Dayang..... the weather a bit uncertain, big wave, some got seasick, vomit... but all survive the journey.. ha ha... we reach the island around 12.30midnight, about 5 hours boat journey... T-T

This trip, is Suzanne, Hee Kah, Edward, Dion & Jennifer Open Water Dive.... congratualation to all, all passed d... certified diver... ho ho ho!

Happy to dive with everyone here, and also so sad to see the coral bleaching quite serious in Dayang... a lot of coral turn to white... sigh.... the water tempeture last weekend are cooler, so, hope the coral survive lo.. gambateh!

This trip, vis are not bad, we see group of barracuda, a lot of my beloved nudibranch, bumphead parratfish.....etc.

And not forgot to mention, first time watching football in the island, beer, kua chi... nice experience.... and on the 26th night, there are moon eclipse too. first time saw it too...

There goes the 3 Day trip, very fast, a clips of eye, its all over! sigh.... looking forward to my next dive trip in August.. yeah!
