This is the first hiking for my mom and 姑姐。。 They make it... yeah!

When we walk half way to the 1st station, it started to rain.. we walk back after that... all half wet! But it was fun!

3天2夜 - 皇家泊崙雨林游

剛從泊崙雨林 (Royal Belum Rainforest) 回來, 撇開安排不善的事情 (我在我的照片篇那兒complain得太多了), 這真是一個很好的地方.

泊崙雨林坐落在霹靂, 很少人會發現, 其實霹靂洲很大, 它的北部, 其實是連接著泰國邊境. 那裡有一個淡水湖, 名叫德蒙构 (Tasik Temengor), 聽那裡的人說, 此湖之大, 有三個Singapore這麼大..... 裡面還有很多的島嶼, 很多都是沒人住的, 少許的, 已經建了度假村...

泊崙雨林分成南北兩區, 北區, 是管制區, 是需要申請 Visa才能進去的. 我們這次去的, 當然是南區囉. 南區, 也沒有因為過分開發, 而失去了它的原來風貌. 這裡的人, 都非常愛護大自然.

剛進去, 我們就被分到個自的房間去... 看看我的lake view room, 很不賴吧?

                          

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

接著下來, 負責人就有一個Safety Talk, 特地來告訴我們, 什麼事情是在這裡或森林里不能做的事情:

1. 不能隨便亂叫 2. 不能到出小解大解 (特別是男生) 3. 沒有在特許的情況之下下水 4. 不能一個人在晚間到處亂跑 5. 晚間行動, 必須要有人陪伴. 6. 如果看見奇怪現象, 別驚慌, 先眨一眨眼, 如果還是看見, 問問身旁的人, 如果發現是奇怪的, 就安靜的走開. 因為你應該是騷擾到它.7. 不能隨便講大話, 就是吹牛.. 8. 不能想像看到奇特的動物.....

很多奇奇怪怪的規則... 但是都是必然要相信的. 他說: 這不是什麼宗教信仰, 但是這就是不則不扣的森林規矩, 叫我們必定要尊重而且遵守, 不然可怕的事情會發生.

還有, 下水, 一定要穿救生衣. 聽他們說, 有太多熟水性的人, 都會發生意外, 而屍體到今天都找不到. 聽說, 這裡有些魚類, 多蔓魚, 比人還要大, 會把人拖下水, 是不是吃掉, 就沒人知道, 但是肯定的是, 屍體都不會再出現了. 這個負責人, 是前軍隊, 他也說, 不知道有多少軍人, 因為這樣, 到現在, 屍體都找不到. 就因為這樣, 他們非常的注重救生衣, 而且local plp都一定會穿上, 而且還會特別注意所有的人, 都把拉鍊拉上, 釦子扣上, 才會出發. 非常非常的小心. 可想而知, 真的是怕才會這樣小心...(

第二天, 我們就出發, 從我們住的那邊, 隨著森林徒步走到島的兩外一邊. 有差不多1.5 KM. 我們的目標, 是走上那座望景樓. 就在這座島的山上. 看見嗎? 照片里, 山上的那個小點, 就是我們要到的望景樓

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

然後, 下面這張, 就是我們辛苦的代價, 值得吧?

這中間, 我們聽見好聽的啄木鳥啄木發出的"dok dok"聲, 大自然的蟲聲, 不同種類的鳥聲. 太美妙了. 除了聲音之外, 我們還看見大象留下的糞便, 野豬挖的洞, 不同種類的菌類, 竹林, 大樹, 不同的樹紋, 很多很多.

每天一早, 我們都等待著日出, 雖然都沒看成, 因為太多雲了. 但是我們得到的, 是在漆黑的湖邊, 聽著猴子玩耍的聲音, 鳥聲, 所有大自然的聲音... 感覺好舒服. 也覺得世界變寧靜了... 不是外在, 是心裡的寧靜, 這是在城市裡头, 你沒有辦法體會的一種心情.

我在這裡, 聽了很多別人的故事, 跟螞蟻一起吃飯 (因為每樣菜, 跟水, 都有它們, 無處不在阿! 但是放心, 他們不咬人, 是食糖蟻), 我還意外的試了它的味道.. 是酸的 (不是特地的啦, 它跑進我的茶裡面). 我會再去的, 希望到時候, 它原有的面貌, 不會被人類毀滅.....

 

 

 

29-31 Aug 2009 Belum Rainforest

This is suppose to be a photography trip being organized for shooter to experience and shoot the beauty of the 130 thousand years old Rainforest, sound interesting right? and the prize are sponsored by Sony. Unfortunately, the organizer are quite messy. We have been calling the organizer for the details itinerary, and the only info we got is wait at the Gerik Bus Station at 12pm.

When we arrive there earlier, around 11pm, we just take our time to have our lunch, then we got a call to said that they have postponed the meeting time from 12pm to 2pm. And what can we do?? WAIT loooooo!

After awhile, we got a call from the organizer that we can call Kolonel Chua, the person who organize the program in the rainforest, then we been directed to the jetty, and we finally meet this Former Army - Kolonel Chua. A very nice and tough man, knowing many thing about this forest. He tell us alot of his experience, and his view about life. I really learn alot.

While we are chit chating, we got our first surprise, we need to wait for another 2 person for us to moved into the island (and this wait last us more than an hour.......), then the 2nd surprise is, due to we only have 4 pax, they have no other man power to arrange our itinerary, but they do have 70 pax corporate team building team, we can tag along.

K. Chua are trying his best to take care of us... (He did suggest to postponed our trip, but some how the message doesnt get sent thru to us.. blame who?

I think the whole trip, the worst thing i have been is the 2nd day, after a 3 hours treking in the jungle, we need to wait almost 1 1/2 hours at the deserted jungle corner... the heat, not enough water, sitting at the staircase of the jetty, looking for every boat passing by, hungry, and need to eat whatever we have..... and wait wait wait......what a experience.. survival skills? After this sitting at the stairs for so long, my buttock also pain, and dont feel confortable to sit on hard chair anymore...... hmmmm......

Take away the bad organizing, this Belum Park are simply amazing & awesome. Green and swimming pool like lake, good air, (although its does rain for abit, but it doesnt affect the prettiness of the placed)

This is really a huge lake -- Temengor Lake... is estimated 3 times Singapore size. really huge and pretty lake. Then we have meet with the resort staff, and bring us to our room. The room is basic, and the view of my room is fantastic, the beauty of the lake view room....The staff there are very friendly, and we do have many nice food, and nice chit chat with the staff there.

Besides the natural and beauty forest, there are one thing interested us. That is the bamboo rack (not sure if this is the right name). We want to go on it, and the staff there very kind, look at this 2 city girl, he decide to take us for a ride. ha ha.... all the pix of moving the bamboo are not true... ha ha....The pix taken while we are on the rack are just so owesome....pretty pretty... after that, we dip ourselves into the lake water, it is kind of warm, and refreshing, After a half day treking, u can imagine how refreshing we feel.... wao! nice nice!

Besides these, the other interesting me is the "woodpacker" bird knocking the tree, the "tuk tuk" sound are really soothing.... and we saw wild boar leaving some "hole" that they make, and some elephant shit too... but no luck on seeing any of them...

We wake up 6am everyday for sunrise photo, but none, cos the cloud here are pretty unpredictable, but these are another type of beauty, as you see my photo below, the cloud formation are quite pretty, and it changes every second... beautiful. We did not see beautilful sunset as well, except for 2nd day, Calvin & Mike saw the beautiful sunset and rainbow, while we have give up and lying on the bed.. what a waste! But thats is life isnt? hei hei.... Unpredictable!

The other thing I want to talk about, its the food. All the food taste good, and they served 6 meal a day. Its more than enough....the staff there are very attentive, whatever we need, they send it to us, i can say, they attend better to us compare to 5star hotel. i give them 5 *****. Superb! And to the staff who bring us to our room, really considerate, he show us the room available, checking with us if no bath room attached will caused us any problem? should him give us a room with attached bathroom, but sharing with others? or should we stay in a room nearer to the toilet, and more convenience? or we want the lake view, but further from toilet?.. very kind of him.. although at the end, we chosen the further room with lake view....but this can proof that they are very sensitive to customer need.. which are far better than any hotel. I give 6 ******

Ok.... you should be tired of all my complain and story..... I will stop here.. hei hei.... Lets see some of the photo taken from the trip..... Besides all the above, the most important thing is we have good buddies in the trip, thanks to Suzanne, Calvin and Michael, we have good laugh, good joke all the way since the trip started...... all in all, I do have fun! .......:-)

19th April 2009 2nd Broga Hill Hiking

After the first Jan hiking, this is my 2nd hiking to Broga Hill. Broga Hill again didnt dissapointed me, very nice cloud formation, although not as pretty as the first clear blue sky.. this is not bad too.
The hiking are more tiring than i imagine i will... hmmm.. bad stamina... or maybe i swim yesterday? ha ha.. trying very hard to look for excuse... i shud exercise more... hmmm!

20-22 Feb 2009 林明鎮 (林明山&彩虹瀑布)

第一次, 到了聞名已久的林明, 聽說過它美麗的雲海, 毎天可以看到的彩虹 (如果有太陽出現的話...), 林明山水豆腐, 林明面, 林明的人, 林明的歷史, 林明的古老建築... 樣樣都沒有令我失望....雖然很累人, 但是都是值得的....你可以想像嗎? 當你走著上山, 回頭看, 都是雲海, 抬起頭, 而是整片星海...真的是太美了...而說到彩虹瀑布, 雖然彩虹很小, 因為水量少, 而我們有比較遲到, 但是, 彩虹依然在那兒等我... 好開心....好滿足....

18th Jan 2009 Sunrise at Broga Hill

First time hiking to Broga Hill, get ready at 5.00am, and depart around 5.45am... start hiking at 6am, and we so scared we cant be at the top of the mountain before sunrise... but .... hei hei! we make it!!!! the hiking took us around 45m to one hour, cannot remember liao lo!

Broga Hill is so beautiful, the feeling when i get there, at first, dark...! but a lot of star, the sky is pretty... then we start hiking, tired.... and when we got up there! I tell you, the feeling of seeing someone else pix, and u standing up there.. the feeling is just awesome... pretty, and you just cant imagine and ask: AM I IN MALAYSIA????????????????? thats how we feel when we get up there!
Today is a windy day, clear blue sky and with the pretty 茅草，everything is just so perfect! 我爱茅草！！！！！！！

We took many many pix.. and also laugh like hell.. especially the below 十连拍: show by May Wong, Colee, Pei Yee, and Sambee!!!!!! ha ha! very very funny...

And it is good to see so many photpgrapher up at the hill when we reach there.. all so pro with tripod setup for the sunrise.. hmmm! is nice! and when we getting down the hill, i meet some fren who i know from the last lenggong trip.. it is funny to meet fren up the hill... hmmm! that nice too!

After we got back home, everyone just fall down and sleep! tired, and wake up too early la... but all worth it! I will go again sometime!!!!!!!!

27-28 Dec 2008 Lenggong Perak Trip

This trip is organized by MOTHS - a group in facebook, which organize a lot of outdoor activities all year round.. this is the first time i join them, and i did had a great time....

first time i try flying fox (i try to caught ourselves in the video, but unfortunately it doesnt work out... sob sob"), jungle trecking & caving....

I have got 2 leech bites after the jungle trecking.. but everything is fine la..
and my dear Lin is screaming and jumping around for the whole 3 hour trecking journey.. poor lin....

we suppose to have 5 members in our group (Lin, Sam, Pooi, Li Peng and me), unfornately, Li Peng can't join us due to she is sick.. and also my dear Sam also sick during the trip... so.. the jungle trecking and caving part, only me and Lin survive from it....

I hope we have more trip to come and wish everyone are healthy from now on.....
