02102009 2nd Day In Bangkok

Today is the 2nd day in Bangkok, our plan is going to the famous Damnern Saduak Floating Market, and half day city & temples tour.

Wake up at 6+am, breakfast, and departed our journey to the market. The journey takes about 1+hours. After we arrive, we took the long tail speedboat went into the center of the market. The long tail speedboat that James Bond using? remember? hei hei.... after that, we being transfer to the small boat, which cost us additional of 150BHT each, just wanna experience what the local plp do for their living, didnt buy anything except foods and drinks.

The stuff here are over price, except that you can ask for discount, at least 50-70 percent. But is a good experience.

After some walk, our next stop is the wood carving center. The plp there is amazing, the carving are so lifely... you just cant imagine how they do it, but they did. Amazing.....

After sometime, we travel back to Bangkok, have lunch and started our temples journey in Bangkok. First is the Wat Trimit, The Golden Buddha. Huge tall Golden Buddha standing in the middle of the temple, the temple not big though...

Next, is the famous sleeping buddha temle named: Wat Pho - The Reclining Temple. huge buddda sleeping in the center surround by great painting. Besides the buddha, Im suprise to see alot of chinese statue around this temple, then I asked the guide, then he told us, before this place being converted into temples, is a residence area for a chinese which he do transport service, thats explains it.

This is the last stop for today, we being transfered back to Hotel, and then have some rest, then went for our Seafood dinner in Samboon Seafood Restaurant that being introduce by Toh, the food are not too expensive, and taste ok. You can try when you are here. After dinner, we walk around Silom Rd & Surawong Rd. They are just too much of girls and boys asking us to go to see their "free show", this is my sister first Thailand trip, she amazed how plp live here.... a experience in life.

That it for today.... Tomorrow is the shopping day, hope that the weather is good too....
